Another component in TV soccer expert Alan Hansen's identi-kit of a successful side will get more approval from Manchester United this time.

It's not often you win a game and you are displeased. It was good from a tactical point of view because what I wanted to do was to play our full backs in forward positions.
They had the courage to do that in the first half . The second half was a bit disappointing because we ended up playing four against one at the back and we allowed Liverpool to get to the edge of the box far too much and threaten us.
They just had to have the courage to understand the tactical part and get about their job properly. It was worth a try because it is something we have to consider in European football. You have to make sure you don't have too many men at the back and contest the forward areas of the field.
But in the main there were no problems as far as the system was concerned.
The problem in the second half was the courage to carry it out. No matter what Liverpool were going to do they should have shown the conviction to continue playing as they had in the first.
